I create objects that are ambitiously simple. They speak of a love for materials; the countless ways that wood, metal, or leather can be transformed from basic elements into lyrical expressions. They speak of a respect for craft; diving into traditions of joinery and machining and, when needed, making new tools to make the things themselves. They speak of a vision that is clear and rigorous, and ideas that approach familiar themes and arrive at timeless results. Of course, they don’t speak at all, they quietly, yet confidently embody the principles that I value. Love, respect, vision.
