The Oak Side Table is comprised of a wooden top and four metal legs. The top frames an inset panel, using a thin edge to define the perimeter. This edge is informed by the technique used to manufacture it – a round router bit creates the edge and the radius in the corner, turning a costly bit of hand cleanup into an attractive detail. This radius also matches the radius of the metal legs, which are centered exactly underneath, giving the table a clear, crisp character. The legs connect to the tabletop by threading in from the bottom. The legs are able to nest in the underside of the tabletop, finding a temporary home for transport or for easy storage in a closet.
