Associates - Leather Sling Chair, Maple Coffee Table, Maple Tray

Leather, maple wood, steel, copper fasteners, steel fasteners, wool felt, 2012

Photos: Shanghoon

Three objects make up an interior scene that suggest a quiet evening at home. Preparing a drink and snack, carrying these items aboard a leather lined tray, setting it upon a low coffee table and easing into the leather of the chair.

The leather surfaces of the chair flex to support the body where needed, while maintaining ergonomic structure through the wooden frame and steel supports. The table is a low accompaniment to the chair, employing a steel frame to support the slab top and attachment of three legs. The tray is a small and functional piece, yet its leather interior and felt underlay provide tactile luxury.
